In November of 2008 was made first CWS combustion in pos.Enskiy (Murmanskaya region). Recently results of  researches of ash which is produced after combustion were received.

Researches were made in Kolskiy branch of Russian Academy of Science (Apatity). Microscopic image of ash particle is shown on photo. Ash was taken from the boiler.

As it was axpected and was known ash produced after the CWS combustion seriousely changes comparing to regular pulverized coal combustion. First of all CWS-ash is a fine powder where 83% of particles are less than 140mkm size. Volume density of CWS ash is about 221kg per cubic meter, other words its lighter than water.

As it’s seen on photo ash particle has many holes with diameter of 1..2 mkm. Geometric shape of ash particle is very complicated and is result of aglomeration of different ash particles during combustion plus reslut of water evaporation from CWS on the first stage of combustion.

According to prior investigation this could be successfully used as a substitution of cement for concrete. Supposively CWS-ash increases streigthness of concrete.
